New Bracelets: 400+ Contemporary Jewellery Designs

New Bracelets showcases more than 400 bracelets by 200 jewellers, selected from a pool of 900 artists from across the world.

This new title by Nicolas Estrada confirms that contemporary jewellery is flourishing: readers will be surprised and delighted with the freshness, diversity, and colourfulness of the many different styles in this collection. It incorporates jewellery designs in a wide variety of materials and approaches, including classic gold, silver, and precios stones, as well as paper, wood, plastic, and resins. New Bracelets includes prefaces by Barbara Schmidt and Helen Britton. Barbara is a German artist and teacher and is head of the Academy of Design in Munich. Helen is a multi-award winning Australian contemporary jeweller, and currently an adjunct professor at RMIT University in Melbourne.

About the Author:

Autor Nicolas Estrada (Medellin, 1972) studied artistic jewelry at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. He has trained in many technical areas of jewelry, as well as local traditional techniques. His works can be found in galleries around the world, from Glasgow to Riga, San Francisco or Barcelona. His pieces are handmade, personal and transgressive. As editor, Nicolas has curated "New Rings" (Promopress Editions, 2012) and "New Earrings" (Promopress Editions, 2013).
