Our first thoughts, as we set about making our selection of Invitations for the book was that this was an area of design with little relevance. Despite the fact that almost all designers create invitations of one kind or another, for clients, events, or for personal use…. finding specifically relevant examples within global projects, was easier said than done. We sought therefore to make a collection of highly creative and communicative pieces, some for conceptual expression and others for simple or powerful graphics.
