The Concept Annual and International Competition(C&C) introduces the most recent competitions and planning project, offering an excellent opportunity to look at  outstanding works that won in various competitions and planning project at home and abroad. The works introduced are expressed effectively as a high-quality presentation. In addition, it will help to have a good grape of the current trend of contemporary architecture in the world and provide new ideas.
The C&C, which is based on the Concept (the national best monthly magazine specialized in design competitions), is comprised of two volumes. You will have a good look at the most recent trend of various competitions at home and abroad through the C&C. 

Competitions are among the most exciting occurrences in the field of architecture. It provides designers unique opportunities to pitch their work across the globe. This title features entries of different typologies for various individual competitions as well as today’s main contemporary architectural competitions. For these, like the planning for the grounds of the World Trade Center in New York, the most significant contributions are presented.

Competition entries are the original architectural concepts, which usually on the way to becoming completed buildings are subject to many changes and compromises – and sometimes are not built at all. They dive into the heart of unrestricted creativity and offer astounding insights into the inner world of architectural creativity. It is from competitions that new ideas and tendencies are emerging. The exciting possibilities which architecture of today has to offer are presented here by means of texts, renderings and planning material.

Living Steel is a worldwide, collaborative program designed to stimulate innovative and responsible housing design and construction.

This book presents the winning and finalist schemes from the three competitions held to date. Each project is presented with a description, drawings, sketches, plans and renderings of the submitted projects and is an inspirational source of information about sustainable steel homes and low-cost housing. The projects presented are at the vanguard of international architectural design for a world suffering from a critical housing shortage; this is a unique and valuable guidebook to state-of-the-art design and construction techniques.

The most highly publicized building renewal process in the world today-and the most significant survey of competing architecture designs since the international design competition for the Chicago Tribune Tower in 1922-is for the reconstruction of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. It has inspired a multitude of designs and has engaged architects on a global scale in the re-imagining of the vacant 16-acre site.

Published in conjunction with Architectural Record, the most important architecture journal in the United States, Imagining Ground Zero documents not only the various competitions sponsored by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation but also the informal proposals sponsored by the New York Times, New York Magazine, and the exhibition at Max Protetch Gallery, as well as a selection from thousands of schemes submitted independently for the World Trade Center site and Memorial.

Among the key figures in contemporary architecture whose work is featured here are Coop Himmelblau, Peter Eisenman, Norman Foster, Charles Gwathmey, Zaha Hadid, Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, Steven Holl, Rem Koolhaas, Greg Lynn, Richard Meier, Eric Owen Moss, David Rockwell, Lindy Roy, Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos, Rafael Viñoly, and many others. With its exhaustive approach to these myriad voices in the discourse surrounding the World Trade Center site, Imagining Ground Zero is destined to become the canonical reference for this unprecedented event in world architecture.

The book is classified into five parts: landscape of plaza, park, waterfront landscape, public landscape, residential landscape, and fully provides the readers an overview of design principles and the tendency of urban landscape development through the rich information. This is not only a collection of recent design proposals for landscape worldwide; rather, features are addressed in details, such as the relationship between living space and ecological environment. What designers are pursuing is the better living environment and higher living quality for the people. Moreover, the landscape design is related to the development of human beings and sustainability.

Тема исторического города и новой архитектуры стала главной для XVI Московского международного фестиваля «Зодчество-2008», прошедшего в Манеже в октябре 2008 года. Ее актуальность исторически почти вечна.
