Classic English Interiors is a sumptuous showcase for a distinctive style that is now as popular in Manhattan as in the country houses of England.
Written by The Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, the book is divided into two parts. The first half reveals the private and the pubic side of Blenheim Palace, her ancestral home, explores the country houses of Oxfordshire from which Lady Henrietta drew much of her inspiration and features selections from Woodstock Designs portfolio. Her fascinating text reveals life behind the scenes in some of Britain's most beautiful country houses. Hundreds of specially commissioned photographs show she translated the confident sweep of classic English style to produce homes of great elegance; comfortable family spaces; fresh, simple schemes and smart, stylish ones.

The Miami Beach-based architecture and interior design firm presents luxurious private residences from Orlando to Key West, reinterpreting Florida styles from Mediterranean to Art Deco.
Though the husband-and-wife team of Taylor & Taylor travel widely to find design inspiration in the U.S., Europe, South and Central America, and the Caribbean — they always retain their first love: the historic architecture of Florida itself and its blend of rustic and romantic, from Italianate palazzos to Art Deco hotels and Key West’s bungalows.
Classic Florida Style presents ten coastal residences in resplendent photography to match the tropical hues and lush natural surroundings of the sunshine state. Design lovers will see not only homes that integrate orange groves and sunsets reflecting off Biscayne Bay, but also gorgeous interiors that take full advantage of Florida’s crystalline light — superbly crafted spaces in which the ocean breezes can almost be felt ruffling the curtains. Locales range from a private island near Key West, to Coral Gables, Fisher Island, and Lake Thonotosassa, northeast of Tampa — even the South Carolina home of one Florida-minded football giant, a former quarterback for the Miami Dolphins.
Whether drawing on the architecture of British Colonial Bermuda, or the Spanish-inspired designs of George Washington Smith and Wallace Neff in California, each home takes full advantage of glamorous indoor-outdoor living and a seamless blend of native Florida materials and singular antiques.
Classic Garden Style is all about the decorative, ornamental details that make a garden an extension of the home-an additional room with a variety of purposes.
The book begins with a wide variety of containers and supports, including urns, terra cotta pots, zinc containers, trellises, pergolas, and other visual devices you can use to add height and depth to any garden space. Every garden needs a place to sit, and garden furniture-from table and chair sets to hammocks, settees, folding chairs, and other elements that invite seating, reclining, or entertaining-are covered in detail. Accessories of a practical nature come next.
The items highlighted here, from birdbaths, baskets, cloches, and greenhouses to watering cans, lamps, and more, have some practical use in the garden in addition to adding visual interest. Strictly ornamental elements inject a sense of whimsy or art into the garden and range from garden gnomes to obelisks, statues, and fountains.
This book catalogues many different types of ornament and decoration you can use to transform an ordinary garden into an exciting and comfortable "outdoor room" that extends the living space of your home.

The first in IMAGES' series of building monographs, The Classic House takes an in-depth look at one of Ken Tate's magnificent classical homes. Testament to Tate's faithful attention to period details, Windy Hill appears to have evolved over centuries, rather than just a few years, and is a spectacular example of classical architecture when combined with the talents of skilled specialists, including landscape architects, interior designers, and master craftsmen. Exquisite detailing is captured in close-up photography. No detail escapes the camera's critical eye, from the grand scale of the home and its surrounding gardens to the minutiae of architectural details. Through detailed site, floor, and architectural plans, the various components of the house, its outbuildings and landscaped gardens are revealed to the reader. Superbly rendered drawings add an artistic dimension to a book already brimming with impressive detail.
Ken Tate's firm designs new houses along classical lines - this one is a French-inspired estate built in a small Mississippi town. The photos are nice and include images of the house inside and out as well as the grounds. Numerous photos show small details of the design and workmanship. Simple floor plans as well as elevations of the house and details are included. Credits are provided for craftsmen and companies that did much of the work. It's nice to see that someone still cares about the details and craftsmen are still around to build something like this even in an out-of-the-way location.

In recent years, the kitchen has undergone a real metamorphosis.
This room has become one of the most important places in the home, providing space not only for cooking, but also for many other activities: eating, working, receiving guests...
The best multi-purpose kitchens effortlessly combine these many different facets, with designs by interior architects and kitchen designers that manage to transcend the purely utilitarian character of the kitchen.
A great deal of attention is paid to the ergonomics of the sink and cooking areas and to creating practical (often fully integrated) storage space, but the other aspects of the kitchen are just as important: a space to have breakfast or lunch, a place where the children can do their homework or simply somewhere to relax.
This completely new publication (2007-2008) features the most recent kitchen projects by leading interior specialists and kitchen designers. There is also a strong emphasis on high-quality kitchen equipment, including exclusive cookers, hobs and large refrigerators.
All of the kitchens in this book are designed in a timeless, country style. A companion title focusing on minimalist, modern kitchens is being published simultaneously: CONTEMPORARY KITCHENS
