Frequencies is the catalogue that accompanies a new exhibition project by the artist Eugènia Balcells on some perceptive aspects of energy: light and colour.
Frequencies is a book that wants to be faithful to the screens on which the images of the multimedia installations Colour wheel, Labyrinth, Marble and Frequencies are projected. It is a book that allows us to slowly study the flow of the colour spectrum that defines the geometry of everything that exists.
Frequencies is both a visual source of knowledge and a collection of reflections on the communicative capacity of art and sciences.

Statues, fountains, sundials, and obelisks - don't most of us want to live with beauty in a garden? Garden ornaments can breathe life into a garden, no matter its size. When art is placed in a garden, we are invited to explore and enjoy the experience. Abstract silhouettes, playful images, and forms in perfect balance bring discoveries with each new view. This new book presents nearly 500 color photographs of over 350 garden ornaments: animals, maidens, children, miniature trains, urns, gates, pavilions, topiary, birdhouses, and many more. Experience an insider's tour of garden ornaments and learn from five notable artists as they describe their philosophies of art. Elizabeth Schumacher suggests how to select the perfect garden ornament and Hugh Collins, Jr. describes the magical journey you embark upon in integrating garden ornament, within your landscape. You may find a favorite garden ornament here, or find the inspiration to create a setting and display your own collection.
Whilst Soviet modernist buildings in Georgia have enjoyed worldwide recognition for several decades, the art for architecture from that era – monumental decorative mosaics – still await discovery and appreciation from an international audience. Then, as now, these richly coloured mosaics were an independent, yet inextricable part of Georgia’s architecture: they underlined a building’s use, structured its façade, or merged into an elaborate whole. Today, however, many of these works, which were far more than just state propaganda, are under threat of destruction.
For the first time, this volume documents these unique remnants of Soviet history alongside their precise locations. Using vivid photos and detailed texts, Nini Palavandishvili and Lena Prents guide the reader through a diverse selection of mosaics that distinguish themselves from those of the other Soviet Republics. By drawing attention to this artistic legacy of a bygone era, and in the process revealing its beauty and cultural significance, the authors highlight the importance of protecting and preserving it for the future.

In our high-technological post-industrial society people are increasingly moving back towards true craftsmanship. Passionate craftsmen, who work according to ancient traditions, are consequently also highly valued – except they are not always easy to find.
About twenty carefully selected craftspeople are presented in this richly illustrated book. They all argue for a recovery of our traditional cultural heritage of crafts and give a new élan to the skilled knowledge of their ancestors.
