About the Author:

Tim Richardson is the former landscape editor at Wallpaper*, gardens editor at Country Life and founding editor of New Eden. He is the author of numerous books on landscape design, including The Vanguard Landscapes and Gardens of Martha Schwartz, Avant Gardeners, Futurescapes and Landscape and Garden Design Sketchbooks, published by Thames & Hudson.

Small gardens are a challenge to design and to keep looking good. About the Author:

Jake Hobson draws upon years of experience with Japanese gardens and landscaping. He spent a year at a nursery in Osaka, and in 2004 started his own business Niwaki, Japanese Garden Tools. A keen observer of the artistry of gardens, Jake received his bachelor's degree in sculpture. He lives in England.

Noel Kingsbury is a researcher, writer, and teacher. A gardener since childhood, he has run a nursery, designed gardens and public spaces, and done doctoral research at the University of Sheffield’s Department of Landscape on the ecology of ornamental perennials. He lives and gardens in the Welsh Borders near Hay-on-Wye.
