Andrew Krivine began collecting punk memorabilia in 1977 when punk exploded onto the scene. Since then, Andrew has amassed one of the world's largest collection of punk graphic design and memorabilia.

This book features a carefully curated selection of over 650 posters, club flyers, record covers and adverts from the collection. Together they represent the prime years of punk which changed the world of graphic design forever with its do-it-yourself aesthetics.

The artworks are put into context by graphic design experts, academics and commentators. Among them former art director of New York Times Steven Heller, reader in graphic design at the London College of Communication Dr Russ Bestley, graphic design writer Rick Poynor, designer Malcolm Garrett and Pulitzer Prize-winning editor Michael Wilde. About the Author:

Andrew Krivine owns one of the largest private collections of punk and post-punk graphic design and memorabilia in the world. He began collecting when staying with his cousin John Krivine, who founded the seminal punk stores Acme Attractions and BOY in London in the 1970s. Andrew is a resident of New York, and he continues to add to his collection.

Robert Dimery is a freelance writer and editor who has worked on Tony Wilson's 24 Hour Party People, Pump Up the Volume: A History of House, and 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, plus countless other popular music publications. He has also contributed to books on classic albums and classic singles, and has worked for a variety of magazines, including Time Out London and Vogue. He lives in London.

Michael Lydon was the founding editor of Rolling Stone. He is now a pop music writer and a "talking head" on radio and television. He has worked with music legends such as John Lennon, the Rolling Stones and Johnny Cash.
