About the Author:

Erwin Olaf (*1959) studied journalism. He began his career as a photographer for magazines and journals, often with a socio-political background. About the Author

Guerel Sahin, 39 years old and from Kaiserslautern, is a photographer by profession. Eight years ago, he turned his greatest passion into a profession. His photographic work includes portraits, interiors, lifestyle and travel. However, he has specialised particularly in nature photography since he was in the Italian Dolomites for the first time. The combination of green meadows, turquoise lakes, beautiful forests and fascinating rock formations has captivated him.

About the Authors:

Photographer Pete Biro began shooting motorsports in the 1950s, contributing to magazines such as Road & Track and Car and Driver. As his career progressed, his work found greater fame on the pages of outlets such as Time, LIFE, and Sports Illustrated, eventually garnering high-profile clients like the Big Three US automakers and Goodyear Tire. He followed the Can-Am series throughout its 1966 to 1974 glory years, becoming good friends with its top drivers, team owners, and engineers.

After a distinguished career as a motorsports author, speaker, and historian, George Levy is now President of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, based at Daytona Beach, Florida. He began his journalism career in 1980 at Autoweek, where he rose to editor at 27. He has also contributed to RACER, Car and Driver, and Vintage Motorsport. Latterly, he has turned to writing books and is best known for Can-Am 50th Anniversary: Flat Out with North America’s Greatest Race Series (2016), which earned a Gold Medal in the 2017 International Automotive Media Competition, and F1 Mavericks: The Men and Machines that Revolutionized Formula 1 Racing (2019). He lives in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Starting with Helmar Lerski’s outstanding photo series "Metamorphosis through Light" from 1935/36, the magnificent volume "Faces – The Power of the Human Visage" presents portraits from the era of the Weimar Republic. The photographs taken by the photographers of the 1920s and 1930s achieved a radical renewal of portrait photography.

Portrait photos traditionally served to depict the personality of an individual. The photographers of the interwar years saw the face as material to be presented in accordance with their own ideas. Through the photograph of a face they explored aesthetic considerations as well as the political changes that took place during the Weimar Republic. Modernist experiments, the relationship between individual and type, feminist roles and political ideologies collided and hence expanded the concept of portrait photography.

Artist Petra Collins and actress Alexa Demie create nine erotic stories in a contemporary reimagining of a fairy tale book.

Fairy Tales is an erotic folklore of short stories shot by Petra Collins starring Alexa Demie. The pair created the concept and text collaboratively. Alexa portrays nine characters that embody new stories they would have liked to see. As children, Petra and Alexa were both enamored with fairy tales, which provided an escape from their own painful realities.

Each of the nine tales are set in unique spaces, ranging from suburban homes and parking lots to fantastical sets. Petra and Alexa’s chapters of elves, mermaids, sirens, water sprites, fallen angels, fairies, witches, and banshees blend their own stories with retold fairy tales. The photos combine elements of camp, prosthetics, and shibari in a surreal update to the imagery of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Charles Perrault, and others. 

About the Authors:

Petra Collins is a multi-talented artist and director whose photography set the stylistic tone for much of the 2010s. Shooting since the age of 15, her work is fueled by self-discovery and a contemporary femininity which explore the complex intersection of life as a young woman online and off. Collins weaves through the worlds of art, fashion, film, and music. She is working on her first feature film, set to shoot in 2021.

Alexa Demie is an actor, musician and multi-hyphenate talent who currently stars as ‘Maddy’ in HBO’s EUPHORIA.
