This is the first art collection by the young Canadian artist/illustrator Koyamori (also known as Maruti_Bitamin). Over the past five years, she has gained attention through regularly sharing her fascinating illustrations on her Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter accounts. About the Author:

Koyamori is an Asian-Canadian watercolor painter who also focuses on illustration and design. Her work often features nature and nostalgic elements, stemming from a background in biology and a childhood in Asia. She attempts to create a sense of peace and comfort through these still images.

Theo Deutinger (*1971) is an architect, writer and curator. He is the founder and head of The Department (TD), a practice that combines architecture with research, visualization and artistic thinking. Deutinger is known for his theoretical writings on the transformation of European urban culture, and his socio-cultural studies such as the “Handbook of Tyranny.” His work has been shown at the Design Biennale Kwangju (2011), the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale (2014) and the Storefront for Architecture in New York (2019), among others. Theo Deutinger lives and works in Austria.

She teaches classes in handbuilding at intervals throughout the year, including at the famous Penland Art School and the North Carolina Pottery Center. She also operates an 8,000 square foot art cooperative called Southside Studios that houses studio space for 20 potters.
