The blog and weekly print column, which combine location sketches and written stories, have quickly become popular in the Seattle area, where Campanario has been featured in TV and radio appearances. A native Spaniard, Campanario moved to the U.S. in 1998 and has lived near Seattle with his wife and two children since 2006. His journalism career spans two decades, working for newspapers in Barcelona, Lisbon, California, and Virginia. Campanario has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. 

Veronica Lawlor is an instructor at Parsons the New School for Design, Pratt Institute, and her own Dalvero Academy. She is an illustrator and the president of Studio 1482, the illustration collective that contributed illustrations to One Drawing A Day and One Watercolor A Day. Lawlor is also a correspondent with Urban Sketchers, and her work was featured in the Quarry book: The Art of Urban Sketching, as well as in the first two issues of the Urban Sketching Handbook series.

Stephanie Bower worked as a licensed Architect in New York City before gravitating to professional architectural illustration and concept design. She taught the how-to's of architectural sketching for over twenty-five years in New York City at Parsons, in Seattle at the University of Washington and Cornish College of the Arts, and most recently, in popular sketching workshops called "Good Bones" where she teaches the concepts of basic perspective sketching and watercolour. Bower was an instructor at the 2014 Urban Sketchers Symposium in Paraty, Brazil and also teaches an annual workshop in Civita di Bagnoregio Italy. People around the world follow her sketches online via Flickr, her blog "Drawing Perspectives", and as blog correspondent for Urban Sketchers. She is also a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society.

The Venetian Facade is about the facade. It explores the art and typology of the Venetian facade, not only as a high point of architectural literacy and achievement, but as a potentially useful contemporary stimulant.

There are no books that focus on the unique artistic characteristics of the Venetian facade and its potential relevance to contemporary architectural and urban issues, as this book intends.

This book is about architecture. It is not about history, although a bit of history is necessary to set the context. It is not about theory, although, again, a bit is necessary to connect the facade with urbanism.

Culled and assembled by Romeyn Beck Hough between 1888 and 1913 in what still remains a stunning and unparalleled achievement, American Woods—originally published in 14 volumes, with actual specimens mounted on card stock — is a work of breathtaking beauty that has set the standard for the study of trees and wood.

The Woodbook reproduces, in painstaking facsimile, all of the specimen pages from the original volumes; for this purpose, TASCHEN obtained an extremely rare original set of volumes in very good condition, with minimal damage to the wood cuts.

Arranged in alphabetical order, each tree is broken down into three different cross-section cuts of wood (radial, horizontal, and tangential), demonstrating the particular characteristics of the grain and the wealth of colours and textures to be found among the many different wood types.

The author

Klaus Ulrich Leistikow (1929-2002) studied natural science and philosophy at the universities of Cologne, Tübingen and Glasgow, and then taught biology at the university of Frankfurt. From 1986 to 1989 he was Director of the Botanical Institute and the Botanical Gardens in Frankfurt-am-Main. It was there in 1988 that he was elected Chairman of the Society of Friends of the Palm Garden.
