After a century during which it was preferable to bury the past under the rubble left by the passing of advances in science, trendsetting artistry and social revolutions, today we once again look to previous eras.

In this context, contemporary interiors have come to promote a style which works in any environment, in private homes, clubs, restaurants, shops, hotels and even beauty parlours, retro environments appeal to the individual and collective memory, and evoke nostalgic feelings. Sometimes environments inspired by a particular period are created in these spaces, or alternatively, a collage of pieces from th epast and the present may be installed.
