Sante D'orazio
ID: 4960
Видавництво: Schirmer/Mosel Verlag

A doll’s face, a pin-up figure and a man-eating smile - Pamela Anderson mesmerized the world as the present-day blond bombshell in a tradition extending from Jean Harlow through Brigitte Bardot to Madonna. Sante D’Orazio’s titillating pictures of a one-day Hollywood session with Pam in 2000 are now available in a reduced-size edition.

Mario Schmolka
ID: 884
Видавництво: Daab

For the photographs of this book Mario has cultivated one principle in his work in particular. He opened up the borders between fashion, beauty and nude photography and allowed his models to give the images their own interpretation. It is very important to him that the woman in his pictures can present themselves in the way they feel. Mario deliberately withdraws so as not to dominate the collaboration between model and photographer. The result are intensive, mysterious pictures with an oscillating mixture of style, eroticism and personal expression - pictures Mario Schmolka himself call "intimate portraits".

Marc Lagrange
ID: 11092
Видавництво: teNeues

A must for any lover of elegant erotic photography

It takes enviable skill and dedication to achieve mastery in the arts. Yet even more remarkable is the artist who widens his scope to venture beyond his already widely acclaimed signature style. Few would dare to even consider such a risk… However, in Senza Parole, Marc Lagrange is audacious enough to make that thrilling leap as he boldly showcases a broad array of distinctive approaches — everything from starkly straight nude studies to Lagrange’s more typically intricate and exotic compositions. The photographer’s devoted followers will still find the dream-like eroticism he is known for, yet, in this work, each photograph is one of a kind, with Lagrange’s hallmark of technical perfection. As one would expect from Lagrange, each tableau is carefully configured with not a single detail left to chance

Marc Lagrange's fascination with sculpture led him to seek out settings that somehow embody the sculptural arts. For this oeuvre, he travelled to Pietrasanta (Italy), which has long enjoyed the patronage of artists, due to the region's fine marble, which has been treasured since the days of Michelangelo. Staying closer to home, the iconic "Handelsbeurs" in Antwerp (Belgium) was an irresistible temptation: an architectural marvel if ever there was one. The last visit was Paris, where an artist's loft filled with baroque decadence created the perfect atmosphere for a Fellini-inspired shoot.

About the author:

Marc Lagrange has developed a reputation for his opulent and timeless settings — a world where sensuality and seduction both play key parts. It is desire rather than its fulfilment that fascinated Lagrange. Not surprisingly, his otherworldly images have met with critical acclaim, being collected and exhibited in all corners of the globe. Lagrange’s previous publications include teNeues’s highly successful, Diamonds and Pearls.

- A significant landmark in Lagrange’s esteemed publishing career
- The all-new work by Lagrange showcases his multi-faced talent

Daniella Midenge
ID: 11732
Видавництво: teNeues

The photography of Daniella Midenge is the perfect symbiosis of artistic photography, erotic appeal, and an unforgettable signature style

Strong women, accentuated by their beauty and sensuality, are the hallmark of fashion photographer Daniella Midenge. Her pictures evoke intimacy and passion, beyond the outer shell. Black-and-white or color, her photos have an incredible power of expression that draws the eye of men and women alike. Her unique style still shows the influence of photographers like Peter Lindbergh and Herb Ritts. As a woman and a model herself, Daniella Midenge is at home both behind and in front of the camera, directing, producing, doing hair and make-up, retouching — all of which she does herself. It’s no wonder she is reluctant to let others handle the processing of her photographs. Growing up in a creative family, her love of images, faces, shapes, and exotic places combined with her work as an oil painting restorer — all contributed to the many twists and turns on Midenge’s path to photography. After her first contact with a camera, she never looked back. For the first time, Daniella Midenge’s best work is collected in a single volume: one that will leave you wanting to see more.

DANIELLA MIDENGE is a self-taught photographer and an enthusiast of contrasts. Her first magazine cover was for Marie Claire, shot in New York 2010, starring top models Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo. Other illustrious magazines in her portfolio include Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and ELLE. Her client base continues to expand with commissions from major companies like H&M and Swarovski.

In addition, she is occasionally in front of the camera herself and is captured by Ellen Von Unwerth in her new magazine with the same name as this book hits the stores.

In Daniella Midenge’s very first coffee table book, Sex & Cigarettes, there are of course a few self-portraits included.

"Daniella is a natural force and through her beautiful piercing eyes, she sees the world from her own magical perspective that she transcends to powerful images... with her charisma she inspires the person she photographs to let go of layers and to be apart of her fantasy during that certain moment ... The photos she took of my daughter Blue are iconic."

Guido Argentini
ID: 8586
Видавництво: Damiani

In the book Shades of a Woman Guido Argentini began exploring different levels and nuances of the female nature. Shot both in color and black and white the images are telling a story in one single picture, like single frames taken from a movie.

Women, photographed in USA, Thailand, Italy and Cuba are still the source of inspiration of Guido Argentini's photographs.

Argentini’s aim is that women- the muses who have guided him along his path- up until now- being the subjects of his pictures or even simply those who witness his photos, can identify themselves in these stories.

Guido Argentini was born in Florence, Italy. He studied Medicine for three years at the university of Florence. At 23 he decided to turn his passion for photography into a profession and started to shoot fashion and beauty. Since 1990 he has lived in the USA, in Los Angeles. His work has been published by some of the leading magazines in the world such as Marie Claire, Men'sHealth, Panorama, Playboy, Vogue, Max, Maxim and many others.

Highly Artistic Black & White Photography

“These are moments I usually experience with eyes closed in rapture, moments that say “Yes! Take me, touch me, have me!” And because I know what I see in the pictures actually feels like, I experience a range of different emotions while browsing through it: the memory of recent events is re-awakened, my intellect is stimulated and my physical awareness heightened. It is discovery and recognition at the same time.

I am still coming across photos that show rare perspectives and capture unusual moments never seen before, despite the fact that, in the area of erotic photography, there is really nothing new under the sun. Perhaps Norbert Guthier’s secret is to avoid repeating erotic stereotypes to allow something new to emerge. And the fact that I am familiar with this new thing, but virtually never see it in visual form, is what makes this book truly artistic.”

Sophie Andresky

Straulino

With the Photo Books from Schmolka, Poinsard and Babic, daab was already able to find new and young photographers with enough creative potential for coffee-table-sized books. Following the idea to support young artists, daab now discovered a new talent: Alexander Straulino, a young German photographer living in Berlin. Straulino’s photography explores the elusive void between fashion and art. His work is a unique dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious and questions our inbuilt beliefs in what beauty and eroticism actually are. Born in Munich in 1973, Straulino has lived in Los Angeles and Miami and had his first big photographical success in Prague. His work has appeared in many international publications including Vogue, Madame, Elle, Amica, Clam and Tush.
