Bill Bensley is a gardener, fisherman, architect, interior designer, wide-ranging explorer and lover of all things natural. He was born in Orange County, California in 1959, when orange trees grew there. The day after graduating from Harvard, Bensley moved to Asia, where he went on to establish his own studio, BENSLEY, in Bangkok (1989) and Bali (1990). Since then, with his team of over 150 talented individuals, Bensley has designed more than 200 resorts, hotels and palaces in 30-plus countries.Suzy Annetta is the founding editor-in-chief of Design Anthology magazine, a Hong Kong–based independent publication that celebrates the burgeoning creative and cultural scene in Asia. About the Author:

Giuppi Petromarchi is a renowned Italian landscape designer, a specialist in Mediterranean botany and the creator of numerous gardens in Tuscany and elsewhere. She has authored many books on the history of Italian gardens and on Mediterranean flora, including the lauded botanical text for The Gardens of Ninfa, and has also regularly contributed articles to gardening magazines. From 1986-1989 she lived in Rabat, where her husband was the Italian Ambassador to Morocco. It was then that she discovered the rich beauty of the Moroccan garden. Giulio Pietromarchi began his work as an assistant photographer in Rome, aged 16. That year he met Niki de Saint Phalle, who, having seen his work, asked him to document her Tarot Garden in Tuscany. His photographs span the 27 years it took to realise the project. Their long collaboration led him to document the artist's work around the world, resulting in many publications. He began his film career in 1983 as a director of photography. His filmography includes more than sixty films and documentaries.

Paul Bangay OAM holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Horticulture) from The University of Melbourne. In 1994 he was granted a Victorian Arts Centre travelling scholarship to further his study of landscape design in Europe and the Americas. He won the Mobil Pegasus Award for the best contribution to the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts (1989). In 2001 Bangay was awarded the Centenary Medal for his contribution to public design projects and in 2018 he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to landscape architecture. Since 2020 he has served as a trustee for Cruden Farm, and since 2018 as an ambassador for Prince's Trust Australia. He is the author of eleven books on garden design.
