Todd Gray photographed Michael Jackson over a period of 10 years, often as Jackson's chosen photographer. He is currently a professor of art and photography at Cal State University, Long Beach, and lives in Los Angeles.

In 1972, David Bowie released his groundbreaking album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
