About the Author:

India Hicks was born in England to famed decorator David Hicks and Lady Pamela Hicks. Her grandfather, Lord Mountbatten, was the last viceroy to India, granting their independence in 1947. She was a bridesmaid for the wedding of her godfather, Prince Charles, to Lady Diana. A celebrated model, India lives with her partner, David Flint Wood, and their five children on Harbour Island, in the Bahamas. With David, she wrote her previous book, Island Life. A designer of fine jewellery she has also created collections for Crabtree and Evelyn and HSN, and will launch her own bath and body and accessories line. About the Author:

Arthur Millner is a consultant and independent scholar in the field of Indian and Islamic art. He lectures at the London School of Oriental and African Studies, the V&A Museum, the Royal Asiatic Society and the Oriental Rug and Textile Society. He is the author of Damascus Tiles (Prestel, 2015).

Marc Steinhauer holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Stuttgart as well as a Master of Architecture from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His work experience includes a variety of worldwide projects specializing in high-end hospitality. After spending his formative years in Europe, he relocated to the Middle East and realized many prestigious projects with renowned consultancies and developers. Only ten years after establishing their business, the couple has garnered a keen reputation for creating environments that are sensory experiences — visually sublime interiors enhanced with subtle, textural palettes. Seventeenth- and eighteenth-century furniture commingle with modernist pieces and ancient objects.

Background colors and materials are muted and refined.
