The English style in interior design is admired and imitated the world over.

At its grandest it is a stately home furnished with antiques, but the houses featured in this book are cottages, farmhouses, townhouses and apartments. Садівник з дитинства, він керував розсадником, проектував сади та громадські місця, а також проводив докторські дослідження на кафедрі ландшафту Університету Шеффілда з екології декоративних багаторічних рослин. Він живе та займається садівництвом на кордоні Уельсу поблизу Хей-он-Вай.
