This collection of nearly two dozen detachable, frameable, propaganda posters offer an outstanding selection of examples from East Germany, Russia, Southeast Asia, and China.

Reproduced in startling color and printed on high-quality paper, they offer fascinating historical insight, as well as sublime examples of how graphic art can be both highly effective as well as visually stunning

The Russian October Revolution of 1917 marked the beginning of decades of communist rule that spanned large parts of the world. For many years and in many countries, the most reliable means of spreading state propaganda was through posters like the ones included in this beautiful collection. Distinguished by their bold, bright colors, and generally featuring one or two main figures or a single forceful image, they were ubiquitously plastered on the walls of factories, farms, office buildings, transportation centers, and public squares. They exhorted citizens to proclaim their patriotism through hard work, exercise, and loyalty, and celebrated technological advances in science, space travel, and architecture. Representing an impressive array of styles, cultures, and historical eras this collection is suitable for walls and coffee tables alike.

Bulgari is a lavishly illustrated exploration of Italy's greatest jeweler. Since its beginnings in Rome in 1881 - and throughout its years of expansion throughout the world - the Bulgari firm has been at the forefront of jewelry design, launching many trends and revivals. Here, copious photographs and archival pictures trace the development of the Bulgari style, a distinctive look that has captivated royalty, movie stars and others for more than a century.

The book showcases a range of Bulgari's stunning innovations, such as its easy-to-wear everyday jewels made with precious gems, the powerful modular units combined in repeating patterns, its trademark watches and unique Vintage Collection, a private cache of Bulgari period jewels, watches and objets d'art. It also describes the creative inspiration that led the firm to its famous juxtaposition of unusual materials, from mixing colourful semiprecious stones with priceless diamonds and mounting ancient coins in gold jewelry to incorporating substances - such as steel and white porcelain - that had never before been used in couture jewelry. These and other fashions have sparked countless imitations by other jewelers, copies that can never rival the glamour and flair of the Bulgari originals.

This elegant volume will delight anyone in the field of fashion and jewelry design, as well as the many enthusiastic collectors of Bulgari jewels.

A dazzlingly illustrated history of Bulgari jewelry, this engaging book tells the story of the world’s most famous family of jewelers, goldsmiths, and silversmiths, and the pieces that made their name.

New photography and archival pictures trace the progression of the Bulgari style, a distinctive look that has captivated royalty and movie stars, among other celebrities, for more than a century. Since its start in Rome in 1884 - and throughout the years of expansion when shops opened from Los Angeles to New York and Madrid to Hong Kong - the Bulgari firm has launched influential trends and revivals in jewelry design. Bulgari is famous for the mixing of colorful semiprecious stones with diamonds, the mounting of ancient coins in gold jewelry, and the creation of easy-to-wear everyday pieces made with precious gems. These and other Bulgari fashions have sparked countless imitations by other jewelers, imitations that can never rival the polish and flair of the original pieces.

Initially published in 1996 as the first-ever book on Bulgari, this elegant volume delighted Bulgari enthusiasts and those interested in fashion and jewelry design. The need for an updated history of Italy’s most renowned jeweler was prompted by newly discovered historical material, recently launched Bulgari collections, and a great demand for the book.

This revised edition, featuring several new chapters, presents the achievements and developments of Bulgari in the past decade, including design trends in jewelry and watches. Here also are new lines of luxury fashion accessories as well as the distinctive architecture and interior design of Bulgari stores and hotels. It is these latest accomplishments, exquisitely portrayed in this new edition, which have made Bulgari one of the most important luxury brands of the new millennium.

With an encyclopedic spirit and characteristic flair for color, Bvlgari reconstructs the myth of Eden in a dream of fine jewelry that becomes a manifesto.

Every year, Bvlgari launches a high jewelry collection. This extraordinary illustrated book contains exclusive sketches and photographs of the jewelry from the new collection, and artistic references to the iconographic themes of nature and the garden with creative images by contemporary photographers. Poetry on the same topic from various eras and originating from all over the world — from Verlaine to Vita Sackville-West and Emily Dickinson, Federico García Lorca to Khwāju Kermani — also accompanies the images.

In photography by the Korean master Cho Gi-Seok, the unique pieces of the Eden The Garden of Wonders collection, featuring emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and spinals in every color, flourishes in a magical and luxuriant world, a triumph of plants, flowers, and thriving nature.

Bvlgari’s new high jewelry collection pays tribute to the pioneering visions of indomitable women who blazed their own paths, broke boundaries, or shattered cultural norms.

In keeping with the inspiration for the jewelry collec-tion, this book is an ode to women, as suggested by the female name “Magnifica.” This launch marks the start of a new chapter in a history filled with energy, impact, and daring creativity, with a collection of outstanding pieces at the height of High Jewelry, creativity, and artisanship, conveyed through exper-tise and craftsmanship.

In a male-dominated world, Bvlgari’s muses have helped forge a new perception of women thanks to their courage, resilience, and talent. Whether they may be artists, art patrons, or intellectuals, they have shared the same ability to think outside the box, reimagining their future in an unapologetic way.

Based on the three pillars of stunning gems, inspiring muses, and the gifted hands of artisans and designers, Bvlgari’s Magnifica book is divided into three sections — Head, Heart, and Hands — and outlines Bvlgari’s new jewelry ecosystem. In addition to gorgeous photographs of jewels, the voices of the contributors to this volume, who are all women, will trace a path of encouragement and provide an example for today’s women to pursue their intuitions and cultivate their talent.

Dita Von Teese
ID: 9589
Видавництво: Harper Collins Publishers

On one side, Dita Von Teese shares the beauty of the burlesque world, with bubblegum dreams and show tunes to strip to. Flip over for fantasies in fetish with dramatic costumes and the allure of submission.

Burlesque and the Art of the Teese

"I advocate glamour. Every day. Every minute."

I'm a good dancer and a nice girl, but I'm a great showgirl. I sell, in a word, magic. Burlesque is a world of illusion and dreams and of course, the striptease. Whether I am bathing in my martini glass, riding my sparkling carousel horse, or emerging from my giant gold powder compact, I live out my most glamorous fantasies by bringing nostalgic imagery to life.

Let me show you my world of gorgeous pin-ups, tantalizing stripteases, and femmes fatales. I'll give you a glimpse into my life, but a lady never reveals all.

Fetish and the Art of the Teese

You may have come for the fetish. Or you may just be sneaking a peek at this mysterious and peculiar other side. No matter what you've come for, there is something for you to indulge in.

My world of fetish may not be the one that you would expect. As a burlesque performer, I entice my audience, bringing their minds closer and closer to sex and then -- as good temptress must -- snatching it away. As a fetish star, I apply the same techniques. . . .

An opera-length kid leather glove, a strict wasp waist, an impossibly high patent leather heel, a severely painted red lip. . . . Come with me into my world of decadent fetishism.

One of today’s most trendy luxury brands behind cult fragrances and home goods celebrates over 15 years of hit collaborations and innovative projects.

Founded in 2006 in Stockholm by Ben Gorham — a former basketball player turned self-taught perfumer — Byredo is one of today’s most popular global brands known for its fragrances, makeup, home goods, and accessories. With the desire to translate memories and emotions into unique experiences, Byredo is an innovative force in modern luxury.

This volume explores the brand’s heritage and identity through a dictionary format, with such entries as Art, Eyes, Paris, and Water. Readers discover iconic candles and fragrances, hit collaborations, and boundary-breaking campaigns. Photography by some of fashion’s luminaries — including Craig McDean, Paolo Roversi, and Inez & Vinoodh — illustrates Byredo’s singular universe. Candles take inspiration from Stockholm’s cold winter nights. Partnerships with the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, a close collaborator who imagined candles, T-shirts, and bags; rapper Travis Scott, who developed a candle and perfume; and jewelry designer Charlotte Chesnais, who designed a line of unisex gems, demonstrate creative breadth. Chapters on diverse product offerings, from hiking boots to Italian-made leather goods, enliven the pages. Crafted with the same attention to detail and inventiveness as the brand’s products, this fascinating publication comes alive with 26 die-cuts interspersed throughout its 336 pages and a supple latex paper cover.

This book offers a collection of graphic projects which feature calligraphy and hand-crafted graphics in general as the exclusive or primary medium for communication. Calligraphy differs from computer graphics because of its quality and unquestionable originality. An inscription carried out by hand communicates so much more than a standard typography. This volume presents a collection of inscriptions, titles and signs found in work in diverse commercial sectors, such as packaging, fashion, the publishing industry and graphic advertising in general. An international line-up of twenty-three professional calligraphers (including Italian, Spanish, Argentine and Swiss calligraphers) have contributed to the featured projects, all clearly divided into different subject areas.
