Cute and cool fashion illustrations are showcased in the artist's first art collection book.

Tanaka is an illustrator who's getting attention on social media with pop and cute (kawaii) fashion illustrations of young boys and girls. With 105K followers on Twitter and 130K followers on Instagram, Tanaka's posts of kawaii illustrated fashion combinations using a range of cute items are creating buzz. This book showcases approximately 170 illustrations, with 40 new and remade fashion illustrations by the artist. The illustrations are arranged by 60 themes in alphabetical order: "B" for "Boyish", "Black", "Beige", "C" for "Checkered" and so on (some letters have multiple themes). This book will be inspiring not just for Japanese anime and manga fans, but also for fashionistas, fashion designers, manga artists and people working in the fashion or anime industries.

About the Author:

Tanaka is a fashion anime illustrator and has collaborated with many companies including Coca-Cola Japan.

The Swiss artist Félix Vallotton (1865-1925) was born in Lausanne, but spent much of his working life in France. Closely associated with Pierre Bonnard and Édouard Vuillard, and a fellow member of the avant-garde group Les Nabis, Vallotton has nonetheless sometimes been overshadowed by his more famous contemporaries. Although he produced some of his most important work in Paris in the 1890s, his original and innovative approach persisted throughout his career.

About the Author:

Sam Ita's fascination with paper airplanes began at an early age. He apprenticed for five years with Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart on bestselling pop-up titles including America the Beautiful and Encyclopedia Prehistorica, and on Christmas cards for the Museum of Modern Art. His creations include Christmas Tree In-a-Box, Van Gogh's Sunflowers In-a-Box, The Odyssey, Moby Dick, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Frankenstein. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. Paul Frasco is an origami designer focused on expressive animal and fantasy designs boasting fun and accessible folding sequences. Paul's design aesthetic is influenced by modern origami greats like Robert Lang and the late Eric Joisel. The scale of Paul's work ranges from diminutive pieces folded from a single sheet of standard origami paper, to oversized pieces including one folded from a single 18' x 18' sheet of paper for installation at Stony Brook University's Wang Center for Asian Studies. He has been featured in public spaces, museums, libraries and galleries around the US. Paul co-authored Creative Origami and Beyond.
