About the Author:

Charlotte Coote is a leader in classic contemporary interior design. With many years' industry experience working in Australia, Europe and the United States, she is a sought-after designer of interiors, furniture and lighting. Charlotte is the founder of and head designer at Coote & Co., her design business based in Melbourne, Australia. She is also the creator of The Mountain Academy, an online interior design course.

Comforting Homes illustrates the work and philosophy of interior designer Nathalie Deboel. She aims for soothing, timeless interiors with a well-considered palette of precious materials. The aim is to create a personal and familiar place that fits the clients’ individual needs. This publication visualizes a curated selection of residential projects in Belgium as well as abroad. ‘I strive to create a comforting refuge, a place that feels familiar and soothing to come home to.’

About the Author:

Barbara de Vries was born in Amsterdam. She has spent most of her career as a designer in the fashion business and in 1991, she created the CK collections at Calvin Klein and subsequently had her own collections in the U.S. and Japan. In 2009, Barbara and her husband, author Alastair Gordon, founded Gordon de Vries Studio, an imprint that publishes illustrated books on design and lifestyle. She is also a passionate anti-plastic-pollution activist. When her twin daughters moved to the Netherlands to study design, Barbara saw her home country through their eyes and realized that the Dutch way of life had never really left her.

Lucy Haywood started her career as a designer for British Airways before going on to work for Lady Annabel Astor at OKA.
